In furtherance of the collaboration between Keele university and University of Ibadan, a training workshop was held on Tuesday and Wednesday, July 10th and 11th, 2024. The training was themed ‘Building research capacity among academics and researchers in West Africa: Grant Writing Workshop’.
Highlights of the workshop session included; Grantsmanship for local/ global research an overview – Grant delivery and implementation with local partners – The science and the art of academic writing for grants, Research support and management – (administrative and official to dos) – Project summaries, peer review and feedback – Multidisciplinary collaborations and grant review were extensively discussed.
WAFERs helped run the coordination of the workshop.
